Hi everyone! (oh and I really hope this is the right place to post this) I decided to join these forums yesterday, because of the awesome things I've read on the forums and the exceptional help and advice members have gotten. =) Well, I don't really know what else to say, but here is a list of all my tanks and the fish in them: ;)

10 Gallon Main Tank

1 Molly, black/yellow
1 Albino Cory
1 African Dwarf Frog (Aquatic)
1 Long-finned Zebra Danio
2 Male Fancy Guppies
2 Female Fancy Guppies
1 Abnormally small Mickey Platy (smaller then the guppies)

Goldfish-Fishbowl Size Bowl

1 Few-day Old Fancy Guppy Fry (all alone with a plastic plant)

1-2 Gallon Tank

1 African Dwarf Frog (also Aquatic)

1-2 Gallon Tank

Not being used for anything.

I also have a question, one of my male fancy guppies has its fins really short and they look like they've been bitten, the other male is fine. Is there any other reason for this except aggressive fish and if there isn't any way to lower the aggressiveness?

Thanks for reading!

some correct me if im wrong, but aint u suppost to have a minimum of 6 corys in a tank?

you are right - i only have 4 but having 1 wont be fair. 4 at the very least 6 if preferrable

I'm not exactly sure if its a cory, its about the same size as my molly and has pink eyes. It looks a lot like this: http://img332.imageshack.us/img332/5708/cory3nf.jpg

Okay, so are you saying that I should get a few more of the little guys? I don't think our tank could hold them.. especially if the guppy fry grows to adult and we decide to keep it.

And I will look if there is anything in the forums that could help me answer my question about my male guppies' tail.

Okay, so I've looked around a bit and it seems like it might be me molly, my other male, or my danio that is biting his tail. Is there anything to do about this other then to move him to another tank? (my mom doesn't want another tank to clean((only the main tank has a filter)))

First of all, good morning and welcome! :good: Since you joined the forum, I'm guessing you would like some advice. #1 cories really need to be kept in a group of atleast 6 on a sandy substrate. One alone will get lonely. #2 The dwarf frog may be ok. I don't know much about them, just that I've never had much luck with them. #3 The danio is also a schooling fish and should be kept in groups. A 10 gallon tank is too small for these little guys because they are very active fish and need lots of swimming room. #4 The guppies, platy and mollies. When you have live barers you should keep 1 male for every 2 females or all male or all female. This keeps the male from harassing the one female too much and causing undo stress. With the guppies, since you have male and female, you will be over run with fry before you know it. As for the fry in the fish bowl and the frog in 1-2 gallon, that's not too good...no filtration or heat. You will need to do at the very least a partial water change every day. In my most humble opinion, no aquatic fish or animal should be kept in anything that small, but that's just my opinion.
