I'm newb to the forums, and a bit of a newb to aquariums etc..
We always had a tank when I was growing up... but I was never interested.
We put a small pond (6' x 4' x 3' deep ) in 2 years ago (will upload some pics from home) and wintered our Shubunkin's in my in laws pond which is bigger and deeper with a bubbler and heater the 1st year.
Last year we decided to buy a tank and winter them inside as we lost 1 of our 4 big fish the winter before.
Found a good deal on a 55 gal complete set and enjoyed our fish all winter.
The tank has been dry since May, and am now just getting it ready again.
I found the HOB filter the tank came with noisy and clumsy , making the tank sit 6 inches off the wall.
I just purchased a Eheim 2215 Classic and can't wait to fire it up.
