Here is my aquarium, it just cycled the other day so I needed to get some plants in, I am new to all this, I have never done anything like this before and don't know what the plants are just that they are for beginners, they came in a pack of 25, have I made a pigs ear of this or is it ok ?

It's a lovely start. Best thing to do for now, is leave everything where it is for a few weeks. Some plants will melt when you first plant them, and then start to thrive after. Watch for any leaves with damage and remove them. Damaged leaves don't get better and produce ammonia. You can use that time to learn how plants will grow for you :p

Back right to left:

The right back corner looks like water sprite. It grows easily in all of my tanks. It gets nice a bushy and reproduces often. I see eldoea on the right center and next to it looks like Rotala.

The tall grass like may be Vallis, but I have never had any yet, so not sure. To the left of that might be Moneywort. Then the red looks like a type of luqwigia but I may be correted.

The front plants are hard for me to identify. Swords and/or crypts. If you want to identify them you can post a closer pictures in a plant ID thread.

Really nice job. Hope everything thrives!!!

Thanks for your help, to be honest I thought I had put too many plants in, you have given me a feeling of confidence, it is much appreciated :)
I bought some fertilizer as I have sand, it's called NT Labs plant boost, my LFS recommended it ???
So, can I get fish now, or do I need to wait and keep dosing ammonia to keep the filter going ? Thanks very much for your help

If your filter is clearing the ammonia completely in less then 12 hours, I would add your fish. Not familiar with the fertilizer, but I am in the US and we have different products. Your plants will let you know if they are lacking anything.

It was not too many plants at all. They will fill in nicely too. I always cut off the tops of my stem plants when they reach the surface and plant them which doubles my plants every time. :good:

Thats a nice looking tank, dont worry about to many plant, as i like the jungle look. Just look at my signature pic lol.

I think in a few weeks when your plants start to grow, and have settled, its going to look stunning. Good job

Just looking at your filter, is there an airline going n there somewhere. Seems to be a lot of bubbles. If your going to have a planted tank, my advise would be remove the bubbles. The plants will produce a nce amount of oxygen in the water.
