Just Joined

Hi Friends,

I just joined the forum and am introducing myself. I built aprox. a 165gal. aquarium and now wish to stock it. I originly built it to raise goldfish in it, but saw some tinfoil barbs the other day and became very interested in them. I raised goldies 3years ago and had good luck with them for a year and a half, then they all died sudenly. When I was a kid we raised tropicals, and now I'm considering it again. What should I raise goldies or tinfoils? I have alot of questions about filtration, how to care for tinfoils, what other fish I can raise with them, and so on. Please direct me as to where to ask these questions. Well I've typed alot so I must say bye.

First of all to the forum
I think you can ask this question is Beginner questions or in Tropical Chit Chat. I'm sure someone can help you either here or anywhere else. I don't know much about tropicals so I can answer that as all my trops seem to die on me . Hope you have fun here

tropicals are fun to keep... but they are a much bigger responsibility than goldies... they tend to get sick more and breed excessively.
