Just happened!!!!

My Male Betta has just been "having it" with one of the females.

I had just got some dinner and sat down when i thought the female looked ill.......was lying still then the male swam over and ......

Bettas mating (about 3.4mb)

so what do i do next? they are still at it and he has a bubble nest he seems to be defending quite well.

I think you are going to have problems this is in a com tank. You need a seperate tank for them really.

You should ask in the Betta section

I thought that may be the case....and i'm not allowed another tank until next year. (the missus thinks 2 is enough).

So basically they are gonna get eaten by all the other fish?

could any survive do you think? the eggs are right by the filter, if the babies hatch and swim in there they might be ok?

wait for them to hatch and get sucked into your filter (if its an internal fluval type) then put the fry into one of those fry nets that hang on the inside of the tank ?

might not be the best plan but its what i would do
