Hello all

Just had a re-scape of my african themed tank. Got rid of 90% of the plants so no more java ferns but chucked a good £80 worth of drift wood in there for loads of shade, the nocturnals are loving it!

Took this vid just after the re-scape but over night a load of tannins have come out of the wood and made the tank very dark, it looks awesome, a lot more natural look to it all!

Thanks

Ed

Awesome tank, looks great! One question, what do you plan to do with mbu as it grows?

What do i plan to do with the MBU? What do you mean?... Im gonna wear him as a hat!... Nah, gonna do nothing with my MBU, Im gonna keep him till he's a grand old age! Getting a monstrous 800-1000 gallon 9-10ft tank next year after ive got a house move out of the way in the spring, so i dont need to do anything with the MBU as he grows, hes gonna be well catered for! I dont take fish keeping lightly and im in it for the long haul, only the best for my fishys! (probably one of the upsides of not having kids! lol)

Very Nice! Love the Ctenopomas, how many do you have in there? Also, how is the African Knife on feeding? Do you spot feed him or does some manage to slip past the Congos :)

Im sorry for the late reply but regarding the feeding i overfeed like you wouldnt belive to make sure everyone gets their share. No matter what i feed, with 30ish voracious congo tetras and 6 big greedy featherfin cats theres never anything left. I get through close to a kilo of bloodworm a month with this tank alone!

Great tank and lovely fish
