i just got a pair of clown fish to put into a 80 litre tank, they seem to be only swimming around 1 corner, is this not rite for the clown fish`s? or are they just getting used to my tank?

It's pretty normal for new clowns in a new tank. Leave them alone for a few days and then start introducing different foods to them. I'd go ahead and make sure to have some mysis shrimp on hand in the event that they dont/wont feed.

That's exactly what mine did. If you're really worried you could try turning the lights off.

Good to hear! I'm probably tossing yet another stupid nemo fish into my big reef tomorrow just because the lfs wont part with these palythoas without selling the clown along with since he's decided he loves them so much...maybe I'll feed him to my mantis shrimp :)

hah, no more nem :/ Traded him in for some credit, Im in the market for something bigger but not as nasty...it was growing WAY too fast for my little 55 gallon not to mention taking up good coral space. Now I have a little clown fish that likes to bully my foxface...I would be fun to see what the mantis would do to him...albeit cruel and expensive...I guess the clown will live for now. After seeing the mantis shrimp punch through a chop stick like it was nothing...Im sure he could and would happily rid me of the nemo :D

does anyone know what kind of fish is easy to keep? like clownfish`s?

On its own or with others, that is always the question.

On its own, I found that damsels are pretty simple to keep, eat almost everything, never making the slightest trouble, disappear at night in their cave like a well-mannered child goes to bed, don't molest any invertebrates and so on.
:good:

Good point...yellow tail damsels are sometimes regarded as the easiest and most hardy marine fish to keep...but they can be rude to other inhabitants. Ive kept them with clowns and had no problems at all.

My two clowns swam in the same half of the tank for the first few weeks, then once they got used to the tank they started exporing the other side and have been fine ever since. :good:

Just to add something to damsels with clowns.

Our tiny damsel is about an inch long and still somewhat smaller than the clown who pushes the damsel around some times but more often they are peacefully together.

Despite being submisssive with the clown, the little damsel attacks now regularly the algae cleaner or the grabber-like tongs if they come too close to "his" rock. He really bumps with his head against them.

So the damsel is quite aggressive but not with the clown.
