Hi all! I decided to spring for a live plant to put in my new 2.5 betta tank. I did a bit of research and decided to go for a Java Fern since what I read described them as fairly low maintenance and a good beginner's plant. The plant I got looks really healthy right now, but I want to be sure and keep it that way! What I'm really curious about is how much light you all would recommend for this plant. The tank is not in the sun, but does get room light. I have an incandescant lamp in the tank hood which I do like to leave on for a bit to warm the water. I think it's 10 watts. Is there a certain amount of time of artificial lighting that would be good for this plant to have? Thank you guys!
