To know whats the average amount of time you have had your fish for? I have 7 from when I first started 9 months ago but have lost some long the way for various reasons.

i still have most of my fish from when i started 12 months back.
but my oldest fish, my featherfin catfish is 'apparantly' 15 years plus+. the few deaths we've had along the way were caused by him(!)

Had my multis for about 9 months, brevis about 4 months, angels 8 months, shoal of buenos ares tetras 6 months. Had plattys, guppies minnows for about a year before I relocated them to the waiting room of the department I work in so the patients had something to look at.

The bristlenose in my community tank used to be in my goldfish tank when I was about 15. Im 25 now, so 10 years old.
