Just changed gravel

my tank is now very cloudy... will this likely harm the fish?

Its so cloudy I cant see as far as 3 inches into the tank...2 foot tank see below for what ive got. I changed from normal coloured gravel to silica sand.

cant even tell if I like it yet!!!

Add alot of filter floss into your filter that will remove the dirt, then replace with some fresh afterwards.

i thought I was meant to leave the filter after changing gravel as thats where my bacteria is?

Depending on what filter you have you can sometimes add polyester pads to 'polish' the water. If you can do this then fine but leave the other media in to retain your bacteria. Did you wash the sand thouroughly before putting it in?.

i did wash thegravel until the water ran clear and Ive done about 70%water change..I didnt realise how dirty the tank actually was!! But I havent rinsed the filter.

I'd do another water change as it will clear up the water a lot...

if its not clear by tomorrow I will do 20% water change but its half ten at night and I figure the fish have had enough stress for tonight

they all seem like strong lovely fish.

Plus I can check out the planting I did in the cloudy water so Ive no idea what it looks like.
