Just Bought These Lights

just got 2 sets of these for 2 5 gal tanks. i know they are not waterproof but i will put them between clear plastic and the lid. i put tin foil on the under of the lid to help reflect some of the light. im guessing this will work

any opnions?

how are you going to mount them? and you wont get a reflector for these without spending money, and foil would prove useless

maybe a £20 trio of strip LED's would have been better? as they run on the mains?

yeah i have no plugs left. i will probably drill holes in the lid and put them in

how long do you reckon the batteries will last?

seeing as they wired in series, once one LED goes they all do, or if you get a break in the wire inside

well the lights will be on from about 5pm till 10 pm. i rekon about 2/3 months battery life. but that is a guess on my little experience of electronics
