Just Bought Tank!

Hello everyone!

Just bought my new tank (30inch x 12inch), Just wondered what size gallon that is ? Im guessing about 12?
Also bought heater and filter, Wanted to buy sand but the man at LFS said i shouldnt put sand with Tropical fish? what do you think?

i am guessing thats length and height we need depth too as for sand, most memebrs on here have sand with there tropicals

lilfishie is right, we need depth/height whichever you havent given us

tropical fish do great in sand, i myself switched to sand and noticed the fish are much more active than they were with gravel

Just checked my tank again and its

30inch Length 15inch Width 12 inch depth

Sorry tobe pain but what gallon is that ?
