i bought 2 of each and was told they would be fine in a normal set up by that i mean not set up for plants....
i have no pics yet but will do the best i can to describe them.
they are all quite bulbas on top with light green leaves, 2 have quite short dark purple roots below the water line that are bushy, and 2 have really long roots about 16 binches long and stringy.
sorry its a bit vague but i know nothing about plants in the aquarium, just thought they would look quite cool, as they do!
can any of you plant people help me with them?

Can you describe the shape and size of the leaves?

the 2 with purple roots are like several bulbs growing out of each other with a kidney shaped leaf coming out of the end, there are 3/4 in a ring.....
the ones with longer roots are longer leaves about 8 on each plant and are shaped like the end of a spatular!
sorry crap description i know............

I'm sure the water lettuce will providing its got enough room to grow on the surface of your tank and theres not too strong a flow on the surface. The hyacynth is more of a pond plant I think and I dont have any experience with it. Maybe someone else will.
