As you can tell i AM A NEWB on this forum. I had been keeping goldfish for 7 month until thier tragic death due to unknown causes. after that I decided to give tropicals a try. I have one 30 gallon tank that is currently cycling. When it is finished cycling I want to put dwarf puffer fish into the tank. Does anyone here keep them?

Hi and :hi: to TFF,

There are a few members here whom keep them. I personaly don't and TBH, I don't know a great deal about them....You'd be best posint in the odd balls section, as that is where many of their current keeper members hang out :good:

All the best

P.S. how are you currently cycling?

To rabbut,

Don't worry I have done this before) I am cycling fishlessly, I added a very small amount of pure amonia to achive my amonia spike without adding fishfood and letting It rot to produce amonia, Also once a week I ADd cycle, The bacteria in a bottle. Then I wait........

And to emmsy,

That artical is very good thankyou! :)

my pleasure. Anything else we can help you with just hollar :shout:

I wouldn't waste any more money on cycle. There is no practical evidnce to surgest that it works, but plenty to the contraty -_- Typical poor handling by LFS's, and distributors lead to the bacteria dieing off, before you look at supplying them with enough ammonia and oxygen for the jorney. There may well be billions of live bacteria in there when it leaves the factory, but it will all be dead by the time it reaches you. Its effectively expencive bottled water

Hope that saves you a few £ :good:
