Basically iv had 2 put 1 of my black platy into a seperate breeding net as my male guppie has been really visious 2him, he only has 1 side fin the other is just a stump, he was like that when we got him, after seeing some pics on here iv found out that my 2 female guppies are pregnant so will need my net back soon, wondering wat 2 do wiv sala as she is lookin lonely her top fin is not standing up anymore? Should i put her back into main tank or du think the guppie will just b horrid again
w8 so.. the one being bullied is a female? and the bully is a male?
sounds too me like hes trying to mate with her. i wouldnt worry, they do this, and eventually whne he gets hes way, he should leave her alone...
If you can try giving the platies their own tank then you will not have to worry. As male guppies will try to mate with anything they find, however it is highly unlikely for anything to come of the guppy and platy mating.
