Jungle Val

I bought some jungle val today to give to someobody and I realized that the leaves are all cut, is this ok or will they not grow back, they should grow back correct?

Oh don't worry... they will grow, and grow and grow. When it gets to tall for your tank, you take some scissors and give it a hair cut.
