:-( I have a divided 10 gallon that has a cover over it but a teeny opening in the back. Probably 1/4 inch wide. But this morning I found the male that should have been in section number one, over in section number three, but he was alone, and the girl who should have been there in section number three, was in section number four, with another female who happens to be extremely aggressive. The poor girl (who should have been in section three), is the one I was planning on breeding, and now I'm worried that she won't survive. Her fins are shredded and mostly missing, and she has red injuries on her sides. Her natural color is a light gold, almost white.

I've added a tiny amount of melafix. Is there anything else I can do?

I have heard that salt dips also might help.

I hope it all works out!! It sound slike your fish had a busy day!
