I managed to get 2 trilis and 2 juliis out of a tank marked only julii cories.

Anyways, is it possible to breed the two together?

Also, something which shocked me considering their regular mixing in LFS, is that trilineatus is a temperate fish found in areas which experience a winter low of 16C (almost as low as Peppered), while the real julii experience a very narrow band of tropical temperature extremes around 24C.

You are not likely to find real C. juliis in the same batch with C. trilineatus. The only way to truly identify the juliis is to know where that particular batch originated. They seldom, if ever, make it to be sold in an lfs.

C. trilineatus are rather nice fish on their own merits.
