Hey guys.

I have a 27g and could i have a trio of these guys.(thinking of going with ornatus or malerli)

Im going to stack driftwood instead of the rock work.
I will have alot of hiding places for them.

What kind of tank mates could i have with them?

Thanks

Should be ok, tankmates could be other small Tangs, even shelldwellers and a small BN plec. :good:
Don't know how the wood would affect pH softness etc, best with high pH about 8 and hard water, maybe some crushed coral and tufa or ocean rock might balance it out

Chances are you'll get a pair to form. The third fish will be the odd man out. I suggest you start with 6 fish. Let a pair form and sell the rest. As for tankmates, I would stay away from shellies or any bottom dweller. There is not enough space for two groups of bottom dwellers in a 27G tank. I personally would leave the pair by themselves in the tank. Not much room for anything else. They form colonies. You may get a way with some barbs or maybe even swordtails or guppies to inhabit the upper portions of the tank.
