20 gallon is way to small for cichlids (with a few exceptions, your fish not being one of them.), plus overstocking them in such a small tank is just begging for disaster. You should take the fish back to your LFS ( if they will even accept them after what some of them have been through) until you can actually care for them properly.

Is it a 20g long, or a reg 20? I've bred jewels in a 20l, accidentally If you can, find a pair, keep them, and return the rest

i have a semi-friend, lol, who has cichlids, but i wouldnt want to give them to her and have them kill her parets, which are dyed buy the way, and she still bought them!

You could say they are "friendly" and won't harm the parrots
