Jewel V Rekord And U2 Filter Questions And Jew Internal V U2

yes very useful, finally decided and agreed to buy a Lido 120  little bigger than first thoughts.   second hand but looks a good deal as they are expensive new.
I know length is better than height but still worth the extra litreage.

Hiya, re- the heater. I think the answer might be yes, possibly. Jewels heaters tend to be quite slim and so the clips that the heater slides into might be too tight for another brand of heater. You could possibly research it though as I could be wrong.

I've not come across a Lido but the build quality will be the same and so there should be no problem with it. Re- the filter, I think my rekord is the Bio 3 but I'm not certain (I'm going from memory) I tried to see if the Cirax would fit into the Rekord filter - hence the photo's of the filter as I was asking on another forum. It turns out the cirax won't go in the Rekord. It's designed to run on sponges alone.
I would run the Lido filter as it's designed to run too. They don't design them to run differently. You've got your link to their website somewhere above and so if you read about the Lido it should tell you all you need to know about the filter media.

As for best place to buy, (yes I am in the U.K) ... look for a Juwel stockist. Do you have a Maidenhead Aquatics in your area? I know they are a Juwel stockist and I've had sponges from them for my Juwels and they're not expensive - about £3 each roughly.

I'll look forward to watching this tank set up now :D I don't think you'll regret the brand choice. I've just had a quick look at the Lido on their website and it's got the same lid as the Rio line so you won't have the condensation problem running down the back that I mentioned - yey!
