The front lights in out trigon 350 packed up over the weekend.
I tested the timer - ok, I tested the fuse - ok

so today I got a replacement tube and have swapped them about until I was blue in the face and its still not working....

I cant locate the starter to check that, where is it?

any tips?

They dont have starters as they run on electronic ballasts. This is a common problem with juwel lighting units, i've had it happen twice on my rio 300. If the tank is under a year old they will replace it free of charge, if not its time to get the cheque book out as they arent cheap.

bugger - it was a 2nd hand...

Might have to take it apart and have a fiddle...

the first thing to do is ring juwel
they are extreamly helpful and will often replace
the unit for a nominal fee, providing you send the
faulty one back.

Yep, have to say the same thing happend to mine :grr:
It cost me £45 or something to replace :X

Thats actually a company called Aquacare not Juwel :p

They wany £75 for a new unit and will let me know about an exchange.

P.S. this is the link to the genuine Juwel site

JUWEL Service-Centre
It has a contact email address but it fails :(
Tel : 01953 606 363

They dont offer an exchange and they suggest replacing the whole unit.

Out comes the tools tonight then.
