jewel filters

does anyone here have a jewel filter?
i have a one that came with my jewel tank.the jewel rekord 6o.it is a really weak and doesnt seem to be pumping much water out the top.I took the whole thing apart and cleaned it all out and it dosnent seem to be any better.Anyone else have this problem or is it just me

i have a juwel rekord 90. i think the pump is pretty good in mine. have u taken it all apart? i added an air pump in tank too for extra power. hope that helps

I have got a Juwel Rio 180 & have noticed that for the last couple of weeks that water movement seems to be slower than usual. My husband took the pump to pieces & gave it a good clean but it hasn't made any difference.

I have a Juwel Rekord 70, which is a slightly different filter. But the only time I have noticed weak flow is when the sponges have become clogged up.

It is possible to take the pump apart, the plastic comes apart and the rotor can be taken out and cleaned - if you haven't tried that.

If you just hold the pump under water does the flow feel okay? Could be a faulty pump I guess.

I have a rekord 60 and snails get into the pipe which runs the water back into the tank. You have to take the pipe out and run in under fast running water, shaking it from time to time. Muck and snails come out every week on mine. Also run the bottom of the filter under a tap as baby snails get stuck in there too. Then of course, with my pump, when switched on again it doesn't work until I give it a few sharp taps!!!

i dont think ive cleaned the rotar.i think something might be blocked but a dont know what.the sponges are clean

I have one. It's yet to cause trouble. Did have some issues with my external haegen but that was more my fault when I thought one of my fish had gotten sucked in. )
