Jewel 180 What Externat Filter

ok thanks anyone used the efx range ? will take a look at aps also

I am using a Eheim 2026 external on mine,I have aimed the spray bar towards the glass and drilled the jet holes out bigger.plenty of flow and very quiet.
The only thing is the cabinet has quite small space for the filter,i have to take the door off to get my filter out.

If you for a APS get the 2000, it may seem too big but with media in your looking at 900LPH which will give a x5 turn over for your tank IMO the min we should aim for(or there abouts)
Tetratec 1200 gets my vote much mcuh better then APS build quilty i now have 3 Tetratec 1 APS and a Aqua one 1000. Tetratec all they way.
The Fluval 05 will be fine for 18months or so which after it will return itself to its Component parts lol
Fluval 06 range is due maybe they will be better but ££££

Tetratec ex1200 will be my choice when I get my Juwel 180. So many people have reccommended it over other companies. For 1200lph at £85 you can't really go wrong! Otherwise Eheim are very good too...
