I’ve had my 2 dwarf gourami’s in a separate breeding tank for a couple of weeks. However they are obviously not in the mood so I’ve now returned them to the main tank. However, my golden gourami has taken exception to this and is chasing the male dwarf around the tank. In fact he’s chasing everything around the tank, with the exception of my beautiful gentle giant paradise fish who refuses to get involved in any arguments. Will they settle down again?. Don’t really want to have to move the dwarfs or the goldens to separate tanks.

while the other two have been away it seems he has claimed the tank for himself and any other gourami, especially another male is a threat to that. maybe rearranging the tank might help.

and/or take the gold out for a little while and re-introduce him in a few days. This should solve the problem and you'll only need to take him out for a little while.
