I have 3 JD's (not even 1 inch) in a tank with a jewel cichlid, oscar, and a texas. And some bully as fin niped my two smallest JD's. Will it grow back, it is the back fin. and how do i stop this agression. All fish are under 2 inches and have been okay until today. Would putting in more rock help.

I would take the sharks back they grow massive, with growing massive they rarely make it out of the infant stage in home tanks. How many gallons is the tank?I would ask in the cichlid part of the forums sure oscars should be kept on there own.http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=47035

I don;t see anything about sharks there but, we do need to know the size of your tank. Nomatter what size, you diffently need to add rocks, caves and plants to break up their territories.

it is a 75 gallon that will be upgraded to a 150 during the holiday season

Well if you upgrade to a 150 gallon you will be ok, but the Jewel cichlid may get eaten as it will be the smallest by far compared to the others. I would go with lots of rocks/cave, and some wide span plants to help with aggression. Some dither fish would be ok too for now and when they get bigger aswell. Right now I would go with a small danio and when the cichlids get larger so with larger danios.

okay, the jewel and the texas are the ones with the aggression issues oscar and jd's are mellow

Sorry I read that wrong thought you said the were id sharks, need to get some specs.

Jewel cichlids are pretty aggressive as with the Texas. JD's can be aggressive, but Oscars aren't at all really. I meant when the JD's, Texas, and Oscar get larger then the Jewel cichlid; which won't be too long, they may tear up the Jewel.
