how do u sex a JD at 6"

does the males have blue on there lower gill plate and females dont?

Females tend to be slightly smaller, have "blotches" on their gill plate and straiter more rounded finnage.

Males tend to be larger, either no markings on gill plates or if so, tiny perfectly rounded "dots", and the finnage is pointy and streams out.

The other way is to do a simple venting, which I can't find an article on how to right now as I'm too lazy .
