Jbl Defuser

ok so i just set up my jbl co2 system for the 1st time everything is working fine but the co2 moving through the diffuser and therefore instead of small bubbles releasing into the tank they just seem to stay in the diffuser and build up into one big bubble when it is released into the tank. now i have adjusted the flow rate of the co2 but the same thing happens. anybody else had this problem with the jbl diffuser?
