I was gonna post it in the plants section, but seeing as it really has nothing to do with the plants really, I thought I'd be better of here.

For those who have bought from java plants before, how much did you have to pay in postage? I cant find anything about that at all. I emailed them 2 weeks ago but still dont have a reply. Please do tell where you are as well, seeing as I'm gonna need this for comparison.

hi
take my advice dont bother,i ordered from java and i ordered the 110 pack of plants, when they arrive each plants was just a stem so i ended up with just 110 stems, seriously

I've had good experiences with Javaplants, my last order arrived yesterday, around 30 plants.

Postage was £1.95.

If ordering please remember that because of the way the plants are ordered, delivery usually takes about a week.

Yep i only paid £1.95 for postage. No problems here.

I've ordered from Java Plants.Quite a good experience really. I had 2 problems. 1, I ordered some plant food, this didn't come.however i wasn't charged for it - i would have been good if they could have notified me this wasn't send/charged for.
2, the plants were sent to the wrong address, should have been sent to work, but instead sent to my home and left on the doostep all day in the cold and rain.

Would i buy again? yes. all the plants were in good condition, and are doing well in my tank!

I ordered a collection of 85 tropical plants. P&P was only £1.95 for UK. I'm not too sure how much it would be for the netherlands, but it can't be too much more. I will let you know the condition of the plants when thery arrive.

For all which have bought from java before, how are they packaged? How do they stop them from drying out? and will it work for Erised who will be getting them exported to the netherlands?

Don't order online. Last time I rang the guy at Java and had a quicjk chat with him, he said the website was out of date and he wasn't offering some of the collections now. Call em up and do it over the phone.

Packaging is good - each plant is in a sealed plastic bag thing, and the box is packed with newspaper. All my plants arrived in good condition.

Got my first order yesterday. Very impressed. Will definanlty use again, much better than the LFS i used to go to.

absolutly. the quality is much better than my LFS. I ordered minefrom the web site. Perhaps this would explain why the plant food didn't arrive. I still got the right collection though.

:)

I haven't ordered from java yet.

I used these people last time and found them very good. The plants arrived with in a few days I think was a while back!! and they were all wrapped in damp newspaper with labels on most of them, I also got very quick replies for help on planting them.

and i'll probable be putting another order through over the weekend for some floaters!!

Our plants come from Netherlands, a guy drives over every week touring the UK delivering his plants!! I'm not sure how he keeps them fresh as I haven't been aorund for a plant delivery yet. All very good quality though and each are potted in a plastic pot with some green fibre stuff for the roots to establis in, I remove my plants from this though.
