Java Moss?

i have just bought some bits of marsh wood which look similer to this ...

im planing on getting some java moss to go on it, im just wondering how would i go about attaching the java moss to the wood? And is there anything i need to do to the wood before it goes in the tank.

Pre soak the wood for a week replacing the water at least every other day to get out as much tannins as you can and to stop the wood from floating.
To attach the moss, just use cotton

cheers for that, just got to find sumthing to soak them in, this might sound dull, but what do you mean use cotton? lol

Just ordninary cotton sewing thread from a reel.

i see what you mean, so just place the java moss onto the wood and put a bit of cotton around it to keep it fixed to the wood isit? untill it is fixed it self

Java moss wont take hold, for that reason i use clear fishing line

I've put mine in a bit too early and the water turned all brown....so I too recommend to soak it for quite a while.

java moss is very hardy so dont worry about light etc...

In fact if the world exploded 3 things would survive Cockroaches, Windows XP and Java moss

Just wrap the cotton round your wood and moss several times tight but not too tight. It wont matter if you use bright red thread as i can guarantee you wont see it after 2 weeks

lol well least i cant kill it then, im planing (hopeing) it will cover the whole wood, make my tank a bit beter then, because atm i got a castle in there which is taking too much room up, so hopefully with that, should give it more room and look beter too
