A quick question has any body grown java moss and dose it change the water chemistry at all. any info would be great

Yes and no, in that order It's one of the easiest plants to grow because it grows non-stop in almost all conditions.

Almost everybody has grown Java Moss, it is one of the easiest plants to grow by far. On many occasions people have had Java Moss grow too much and had to sell it!
