After reading around, it seems people say Java moss would be a good addition to a tank. So I thought I'd ask your opinions..

Would it me a good addition to my 5.5 gallon tank, which is housing my Alfie (male Betta)?
What benefit would it be? And are there any drawbacks to putting it in my tank?

Muchos thankos,
Dee :)

i perhaps not should be answering just yet but from what i have read it helps with the condition of the water, but other than ooking nice i think thats it. Not sure if that is just it though

Java moss is really good at lowering levels of nitrates in your tank :) It grows quickly in most conditions when you have a decent amount of it - in my experience it doesn't really take off until you've got a good clump. It will live without any fancy lighting or fertilisers. Apart from being beneficial for your water, it can help some nervous fish feel more secure if they have plants in their tank.

Basically its only drawback is that in good conditions it will go mad, growing reeeally well. So if it thrives be prepared to keep it under control. :good:
