Hi everyone!

I bought a piece of Slate with some Java Moss growing on it about 2 weeks ago.
I'm wanting it to grow along Aquarium floor to create a "Carpet" effect.
Wonder how best to do this?

I have placed it on the Aquarium bottom and put afew gravel pieces on it to hold certain bits down.
Also been giving it BlackWater Extract which the guy at store advised.

Is there anything extra I can do? I make sure it has plenty of light but at moment it doesn't seem to have grown at all....

When should it start growing and is it a fast grower or take awhile?

Depends on your setup, it might just be slow to get going. Java moss can be slow growing if the light is low and theres not much nutrients. It'll still grow (unlike some plants that just give up and die) but it'll take longer :) You may find in a few weeks that if you lift shoots at the edge, they're gripping onto bits of your gravel.

Something else to try might be plastic mesh/egg crate. You could tie a small amount to this and partially submerge it into the gravel.
