Whats the best way with this, I've tied it down to bogwood with fishing line will it root itself and hang on to the wood or to I have to keep tying it down, how often to trim it do you think?

It should root onto the wood, i don't know about trimming, i assume once it looks too much, cut some away and tie on to another part of the wood.

The fishing line though will stay in your tank until you untie it, i think some people have used black cotton threads instead (which are difficult to see anyway) and will slowly degrade over time, by which time hopefully the plant has attached itself to the wood (this is what i plan to do).

it's surprising what java noss does root to! given time it will root itself well to most surfaces.. especially wood!
