Hi. i buyed some java moss online but it was local wasnt far. So only took a day to come.

But when i got it when i rinsed it just incase of bugs or anythink before putting into my tank what looks like bits of driftwood lilttle bits of them stuck to some of the moss And its like all the strands are like 1-5cm and quite abit of brownness. Im guessing these are just trimming? im not sure as im new with plants, Do you think ive been scammed? advertiser said it was top quailty i aint going to go thru tha hastle to go to paypal and get my cash back becuase it only cost 4£.... ALSO when i put them into my tank i kinf of sqwashed all the moss and strched it out over the pot and jsut put it into my tank.

There was loads of moss floating around the tank in strands everywhere i removed most of it and binned it that was floating around, But theres still alto tied down to the pot, Help appreciated Thanks! :)

Not "top quality" but even a couple of grown strands is enough to make the stuff grow. It should recover well once it settles in. Did you tie it down well?

Well kind of lol. i got as much as i could kind of sqwashed it aliite and then spread it over 1 large pot but its like a half broken pot anyway so its like a tunel but ive got threat attached to it i dont know if i added the right thread lol i jus got some sowing thread

Nylon or cotton thread is best: nylon will stay there until you remove it (NB: if it is not secure, it can come off by itself and fish can become tangled in it), cotton will rot away eventually (not harmful).

What about using an elastic band to tie it down instead :good:

Erm thanks.. Hmm i probably will just leave it as my filter and air pump are very strong and will probably suck them up or ill remove when i think its suitable. I dont really want to remove becuase. If i was to use an elasticband then i would have to have loads becuase its not big strands so thats a problem i would have to cover nearly all with band then? want that trap the plant?... Cotton well i would have to go buy that and i aint got no time atm. i have 2 convict cichlids biggest is around 3-4 inchs loli thought they would eat the plants strait away.
