I have just had mine through from cla55y aswell and I want to create some sort of floating java moss *thing*. I have gouramies and they would love it.
I was thinking uf using a small sheet of perspex in some way but looking at yours I reckon the plastic canvas would work better. Same concept as yours but I would let it float at the top of the tank horizontally as opposed to securing it vertically like in the linked thread (maybe secured a little with a suction cup or two to stop it flying around).
The holes in the canvas would allow enough light through the top of it to keep the Java Moss growing.
What do you think??
BTW - Where did you get the canvas from??
