GRRR!!! Help!

So, every stone I have java moss on has been covered in that bright greeny blue algae Cyanobacteria? As seen below and on a past thread

Is is only ever where I have java moss! I have now noticed my wall has started to go dark read and the moss looks brittle almost like thick browny red sticks or seaweed.

Below is an image, I took all of it out and put it in a black out jar for 3.5 days but it has come back again!

Can anyone help or offer advice? Is it the same stuff killing my wall?

Well there's part of your problem, drop to 6 hours a day, and do a 3 day black out, so that the tank receives absolutely no light what so ever, don't even open to feed, it must remain in total darkness, also nutrients may be an issue but without more information such as tank volume and the number of Watts over the tank I can't advise.

As has been said above, if you spend some time reading the planted forums here you will often see people recommend 6 hours of lights tops. Give it a crack.

Probably best trimming off the dead stuff and getting the moss on the outside of that wall now...
