i have a 30g and i have about two palmful sizes of java moss . is it ok if i could just let it grow on its own or will it over take other plants choking them to death? cause i have crpts and vals and java ferns just wondering if i can let it wild? to give it a real wild look :) or will it kill the other plants eventually?

Obviously if you don't touch if for months on end, it has the potential. But you're not going to wake up one morning with Java moss growing out of the tank down the front glass ;)
It's not a "pest" and not that difficult to control if you're lucky enough for it to grow at the speed of light :)

hehe.....reminds me of the cult classic "The Day Of The Triffids".....probably before your time Kill A Watt (before my time as well btw) basically plants from outer space land in London and try and take over the world.

Question is can Java moss do the same :p

eh....i dont think so :D

btw the film is worth watching, the plants were very good actors, totally preposterous but great fun nonetheless.

Great movie a must watch if you can handle watching older movies! A horror classic!
