bought a couple of java fern a few weeks ago, they had a bit of damage to the end of a few of the leaves.
I have now noticed that the damaged leaves are growing lots of plantlets of java fern, is this normal?
Also have problem with brown algea on some of my other plants can it be wiped off or is there another way or getting rid of it?

The "plantlets" are normal. That is how I get a lot of my new java fern.

Yeah it's normal. When I setup my first tank I got some Java Fern but it didn't have and roots so I just stuck it into the gravel substrate. Obviously it started to die off, but produced loads of plantlets. It seems to be a survival technique!

The surviving plants are growing like mad now that I know how to look after them. :good:

Thanks for the replys guys,it looks like iam going to have a lot of java ferns.
