I was wondering if I should attach my Java fern to driftwood or lava rock. Would it attach better to one or the other, or does it really matter?

Thanks

depends on your personal preference wood will lower your ph stones you run the risk of raising it. if you can chose a pourous stone plants are more likely to attach to them than a river cobble I find.

Thanks for your input. I'm leaning more towards the lava rock since it's very porous, but it would look nice on the wood also. I've had the wood and stone in there for a while now so pH wouldn't be an issue.

i wouldn't worry about it then, just pick which ever you like best or even both :p

A month or two depending on how fast the plant is age to go in the tank.
