Java Fern Peculiarity

A few weeks ago, i added java fern to my aquarium. A few days ago, i noticed new, little, baby plants growing from the mature leaves--roots and all, it's really strange looking! Is this normal? Does it mean anything?

Thats how Java fern reproduce.............Its normal and nothing you should be alarmed about.....Eventually, they will drift off of the mother plant and float around till they get stuck on something and then they will start to root themselves.........You can always pull them off carefully, and either put them in a crack in your bogwood or tie or rubberband them to a rock.......
