Java Fern Looks Ratty...help?

Hi there,

I have Java fern in my tank and it seems ratty looking, I always see in other tanks that it looks dense and lush green what am i not doing?

I run DIY co2, ferts are dino pee and spit (liquid ferts aussie made) I run 12 hr photo period, is there something I can do to grow it better?

They are slow growing so you may just need to wait longer, or add more plants.

Thanks Aaron,

I do allow the pups to get to a good size then add them to the scape...
