Java Fern Getting Brown Patches

Hi there,

I have a Java fern/ferns and they getting brown patches on them I was wondering if this is normal or if there was something I can do to fix or stop it from occurring

Could you post a pic? Describe the pathces in detail?

will post a pic tmw, they are irregular sized dark brown blotches

If they are on the back f the leaf, they are reproducing, eventually they will form black roots and a new rhizome will form, cut the roots off if you dont like it.

my windelov got that too.... now the WHOLE plant is black, but still making babies.

That's how mine look before they have tons of plantlets.
