I'm planning ahead as always thinking of how I will jar the fry when needed from this spawn (hopefully) & future ones.

I have some jars I was going to use, but I've been thinking of doing it a bit different & wondered if anyone knows how much space it best for each male?

Inspired by those odd plastic drawer dividers for keeping socks seperate (no I dont own them lol) i'm thinking of using my trusty plastic canvas, plastic sewing threads, some plastic binders, silicon glue & large clear storage boxes to create a permanent 'tank' for seperating fry. I would be able to add a heater & a filter to the tub.

How big do you think the sections should be? Is 5x5 inches too small, probably 7inches high ? It would allow approx 3ltrs each. These would just be temporary homes the same as the jars, but I thought it might be easier to heat them all & keep them clean this way.

What do you think?

Our fry containers are 6" long x 3.5" wide x 4" high so you wouldn't be far off with the measurements you're planning to use.

The only down side would be that they would be difficult to see as you'd only have an overhead view of them and wouldn't be able to see clearly if one had any problems with their fins or bloating etc.
