My Jags laid eggs about 2 days ago, just wondering what to do? let the parents take care of the babies?

Will the babies get eaten? theres a pleco ( 30cm ) and 2 red devils 15cm in there.

I would leave the parents to take care of them. I would be more concerned for the safety of the other fish. but the only way that they are going to learn to be good parents is to care for everything themselves. it took my jags 3 trys before they got it right.

How often will they breed? My jags have bred unsuccessfully once.

so long as everything is going for them ie. water conditions, food etc... they very well can breed every three to four weeks. I happen to have 2 females that spawn for eachother so I have eggs every 2 weeks

I let the cichlids raise their babies but after I chased them down to sell it made more sense to just pull the rock out (after about 2 or 3 days) and raise it in another tank. I don't know what you'r plans are but the survival rate is a lot better in another tank. By doing this you can pull out the fast growers before they eat the smaller ones. That's one of the cool thing about most Cichlids that lay the eggs on rocks (the rocks are slow movers so you don't have to chase them).
