Hey guys, I have a tank with a Jack Dempsy and a Parrot Knife. Recently the tank has taken on a semi green color.. I do water changes and it seems to clear up a TINY bit, but it is just so blurry, I can bearly see the back of the tank. Any suggestions? Thanks

Chris

These are new world cichlids, but a tank is a tank and you might want to post this in a more generalized area. Your green water is algae bloom - it means your water isn't as clean as it should be. It could be overfeeding, too many (or too big) fish for the tank, or not enough filtration. Excessive lighting also can contribute. To help it leave the lights off for several days and do daily water changes. Then figure out why it's happening.

How big are your fish? How big is the tank? What filtration are you running? How often do you do water changes? How long do you leave the lights on? How much lighting are you running?
