I just lost the second today.
I have a 10g aquarium with five (now) neons and two cories. Tank is about eight months old. Did a fishless cycle then added the neons. Cories were added a couple months ago. About a month after that I started seeing tiny snails. Have done nothing to get rid of them. Only one plant in tere now. I haven't been successful with plats. Ammonia is at zero. So are nitrates. Nitrites are between 0 and .25 so i will do a water change next but don't think that is enough to kill them? Any thoughts? Sorry this is so choppy. Keyboard is broken and have to use the onscreen one :(

im not sure look at them closley are there specs of white? have they been acting werid and when did you get them?

No specs of white that I can see. I got them last spring. April I think

is the red stripe on the neons still vibrant red.
Any signs of darting, erratic swimming, flicking and rubbing, excess mucas, or laboured breathing.
Do any fish look thin or bloated.
Can the fish maintain there balance in the water.
Do any fish look pale or darker in colour.
Any fish resting on the substrate to oneside.
Are the fish still eating.
What does it look like when the fish go to the toilet.
Any red sores or streadking on the fish body or fins.

Do you mean nitrate 0 to 0.25.

What do you feed the fish?

Do you mean nitrate 0 to 0.25.

What do you feed the fish?
no the nitrites.
they get tropical fish flakes and a couple pellets for the cories. the pellets are new though

Your tanks not cycled if you have a nitrite reading.
Keep doing water change till nitrite reading 0. Increase aeration.Don't over feed.
How often do you do a gravel vac and water change.

Improve the fish diet with some frozen foods and veg. To many dried foods can lead to constipation and swim bladder.

Get a steralised plastic pop bottle and add some lettuce, remove snails from the bottle.
Weigh the bottle down with a rubber band and plant weight.
