I'VE GOT FRY!!!!

So I know my Coral Blue Mickey Mouse Platy is pregant...but she's not the new mother...

I know my new beautiful bright yellow-orange Swordtail is pregnant...but she's not the new mother either...

Instead the one livebearer that I own, that I had no clue was even pregant, had babies! Thats right! One of my female Black Yucatan Mollies gave birth today! I'm seriously excited! I haven't had any fry of any type for over 10 years!

I've only been able to find one baby so far, so I'm wondering if he's the only one that survived the four adults, or if he was the only one that was born. But either way, he's seriously cute. Completely black all over, except for his fins which are perfectly clear! He's in my breeding net at the moment.

I'm searching the tank for more fry, as I only found this little guy less than half an hour ago...there may be more hiding out in the plants or gavel!

Ahhh, I'm soooo excited!!!!!

I'm scouring the tank looking for any more of these little guys but I'm not seeing any. And both of my females seem to be very energetic and are acting just like normal, so I think the one that gave birth is done. So, I think I've only got the one little fry. But thats ok, because one is better than none!

I'm just like you only I caught mine having hers and when I noticed she ate one, I started taking them out as soon as they were born and then took her out of the breeding net and stuck the babies in there.

Saturday July 24, she went into labor at 4:30 pm and had her last one at 1:00 am. she had about 20-30 and she only ate 2 of them.

my to guppies are pregnant and i am hoping that they give birth very soon as there over 3 weeks pregnant.. i seriously cant wait, my first ever, i will jump round like a mad man!!!

so far I have not noticed any missing, there are just so many of them I can't really tell. No dead ones on the top so far
