I've got Fry!

Well tonight I was in live chat and I mentioned that I think that my new Platty is pregnant but was srugging to see a gravid spot. Considering I bought all female Plattys then I was pretty surprised although I know they can "save" it for a while.

A few minutes later I go back to look at the tank again and what do I see???

2 fry hiding in the big plant!

OMG

Anyway, I dont think these fry are from the Platty that I think is pregnant. She is a white/blue marble and they seem to be peach mickey mouse!

I had no idea that one of my mickeys was up the duff! I dont even know how old they are!

Anyway, the fry are safely tucked away in a net now and I keep manically checking the tank every 2 mins to see if there are any more.

Congratulations on the fry!

My orange female platy is pregnant and I'm so anxious to see her fry! I'm not sure if my 2 month old platy baby is related to her or not, but they sort of look the same.

Well when I got up this morning the blue marble doesn't seem as big. I cant see any more fry though. I hope she's not had them and eaten them!

I know some of you are probably just thinking I should get over myself already but they're my first fry and I'm really choked!

I FOUND ANOTHER ONE!!!

YAY!

This one is teeeny, about 3mm in length. It was just kind of floating when I found it but its alot more active now and is eating so I think it will survive!

I moved my pregnant platy into a maternity tank and a day later she had her fry! There are 12 in total and they're so cute! Four have a "mickey mouse" on their tail, black fins and lips and the rest are just orange.
