I've Got Fish!

I finally bought my fish, and my cycle is complete.

22 gallon.

2 mystery snails.
2+ pond snails (came with plants, I don't mind them)
4 Zebra Danios
1 Green Cory Catfish

My 4 Zebra Danios love the planted tank. And they are eying my mystery snail.

My Cory Catfish is just wiggling along to bottom looking for food. Despite the fact that I just threw in a algae wafer. And I have built him a nice cave using a 1 liter soda bottle. I covered it with substrate, and used some bogwood for a retaining wall. Then on top of the mound of substrate (that is on top of the cave), I have put a piece of bogwood covered in Java Moss. I'm planning on the moss to grow out and become bushy to house little Zebra Danio fry .

I would take pictures, but my Dad took the only digital camera to visit his family back in Ukraine.

I've only got one hiding place.

I'm sure I can squeeze in one more. But I don't think that there are enough hiding places for 4 fish!

I'm not sure what has given you the idea that cories need hiding spots? Cories are a "schooling" fish and like groups of 3-6. They don't need hiding, and you are actually understocked so to speak. You could and should in my opinion up the danio's to about 8-10 and add about 3 or more cories. Then you will have a nice well rounded and stocked tank.

Even if you are going to mate the danios, it will be easier if you give them a larger group to start off with, so that they can pair off better and more quickly.

Also, my Danios are just free swimming. They don't look like they are schooling.

Yeah get a few more cories, they are very cute when they play together, and they are way more active when grouped. The danios wont really school so to speak, schooling is more or less a defensive strategy of fish, when housed with all peaceful fish like you have they wont really stay together, and danios are not strong schoolers to begin with. The danios will however enjoy a larger group, and if thats all you have in the tank you have more than enough room for 4-5 more of them anyways.
